ENI Expands Renewable Energy Portfolio in the US
ENI, the Italian energy giant, has been operating in the US since 1968, with activities spanning across various sectors including Exploration and Production (E&P), Global Gas, LNG, and Refining.
In January 2023, ENI expanded its renewable energy portfolio in the US by acquiring the 81 MW Kellam photovoltaic plant in northern Texas through its US subsidiary, Eni New Energy US, Inc. This move, along with other assets in Texas and other states, has brought Plenitude's installed capacity in the US market to 878 MW. The Kellam plant is built on over 150 hectares of land, and the energy produced will be sold to a local power company.
