Today in Trieste, NIAF Signs Partnership with Conference of Italian Regions and Autonomous Provinces
NIAF President Robert Allegrini and FVG President Massimiliano Fedriga Emphasize the Importance of Italy-USA Relations at “Selecting Italy” Conference in Trieste.
Today, at the Selecting Italy Conference in Trieste, Italy, National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) President Robert Allegrini delivered a speech highlighting the significance of the Italy-USA relationship.
Following his address, Allegrini signed a memorandum of understanding with Massimiliano Fedriga, President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and President of the Conference of Italian Regions and Autonomous Provinces.
The signing of this memorandum serves as a tangible demonstration of the strong ties between NIAF and Italian governmental institutions at regional level. Today, the dialogue between the Italian Regions and NIAF was further solidified through this Memorandum of Understanding, which will also lead to greater coordination with Italian communities in the United States.
President Fedriga emphasized the strategic importance of foreign investments for the development of Italy, stating, "We support innovation and the opportunities presented by new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, which increases productivity. However, we must utilize these advancements responsibly and, above all, to the advantage of public policies in our territories."
Selecting Italy event aims to foster full synergy between the Italian State and Regions, as well as to create opportunities for more effective governance of territorial ecosystems also considering partnering with countries abroad. This year focus on the United States of America, in particular, highlights the consideration given to important partners for Italy.
